Our Mission

China has been under the microscope for human rights records in Western media. With criticism intensifying after the early 1990s, the later debates mainly centre around regions Tibet and Xinjiang.
Our mission is not to simply counter or rebut Western media narratives. Instead, we aim to identify, analyze, and deconstruct the dominant “human rights narrative” favored by Western outlets—examining how it is constructed, what assumptions it relies on, and where silences or oversimplifications emerge.
